A Valuable Day Every Day

We are a welcoming and vibrant learning community underpinned by Christian values, in which there is a place for everyone and where our children are inspired to achieve and build a bright future for all.

The PTA at Otley All Saints CE Primary School organises a range of activities for both the children and parents throughout the year. Of course we hope to raise some money along the way that allows the school to provide extra resources for the children to enjoy!


Our biggest events are the Christmas and Summer Fair that raise a considerable amount of money thanks to the hard work from our parent helpers and teachers. Over the past few years, the fundraising work of the PTA has raised money to provide many fantastic resources including an activity trail, an outdoor classroom, a shelter, improved playground markings, updating our library book facilities, buying new furniture for the Reception class home corner and more recently buying the life saving defibrillator that has been installed at the school.

Also every year the PTA offset the cost of school trips with a donation equivalent to £5 per per pupil being available to teachers.

Orienteering Event July 2016

Sunday 26th June saw the first ever Otley All Saints C of E Primary School PTA Orienteering Event take place on the magnificent and magical Chevin – Danefield side. Having seen off the downpour from the day before, we were blessed with sunshine and a warm breeze to welcome the organisers and entrants onto the “cub field” – where a marked out starting zone and registration tent beckoned budding and seasoned orienteers to make preparations for the event.

A total of 28 teams entered and, with the youngest participant at 2 years old, it made for a colourful and lively group! There was a spirit of friendly excitement and camaraderie amongst the crowd as the first teams set off to attempt to find the 20 newly set check-points within the stipulated 90 minute time allocation.   After a staggered start all 28 teams were out on the course – discovering both the locations of the check-points and of course the beauty and hidden areas of the Chevin. For some this took them to previously unexplored areas, which was one of the key aims of the day.

As the teams gradually returned back in having stamped as many checkpoints they could reach within 90 minutes – the children received their finisher’s medal and all were treated to the unbridled luxury of a hotdog and, thanks to many kind bakers, a bun-sale. After some effort and considerable Excel Spreadsheet wizardry – the winning teams from each age category were announced and received a handsome trophy to keep. The overall runners up and winning team were finally announced and the annual Trophy was presented.

Well done to all category winners and especially the overall winning team “Bubblegum Icecream”. Results can be found in the News section of the website.

In addition, our thanks go to all the volunteers, participants, staff and helpers on the day and behind the scenes, without which the event would not have been possible.

We can’t wait for next year now!

2016 Scarecrow Competition Entries......



The 50:50 club is always welcoming new members. It costs £5 per month and winners are announced each month. Please ask at school reception for a form   It’s really easy to join up and you never could be you! The 50:50 raised around £2,000 last year for the PTA so it is a vital form of our fundraising. The more members we have the more the prize fund.
